FCA 2010 ENTRY INFORMATION
PLEASE READ THIS, IT WILL HELP YOU THE MEMBER & US AT THE OFFICE!
FCA Entry/Callback # 1-866-912-7400 -- FCA Turn Out Line # 403-652-1483
- FCA entry day is the Wednesday before the week of the rodeo from 9am-3pm only (unless otherwise listed.) LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Please always enter with your card # first (as it shows on your membership card ie: L1234C or J5678), then your name. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU GIVE YOUR COMPLETE CARD # INCLUDING ANY LETTERS BEFORE OR AFTER. The computer knows you by your complete number, not by your name. NO ENTRIES WILL BE PROCESSED WITHOUT YOUR FULL CARD #. You also must have card # for everyone in your buddy group. A "buddy group" can consist for 4 full card holders maximum, TR partners who just team rope can be added as the 5th member of the group, as well as any junior. When entering a FCA rodeo as a member of a dual-approving association, you must provide the operator with your card # from your association. Callback for position is Friday (2 days after entries) from 9am-3pm only. Every rodeo callback is posted on the FCA website for your convenience. Callback for stock is the Wednesday the week of the rodeo from 9am-3pm only. Stock callback is also posted on the FCA website. Any contestant calling anytime other than listed above for callback will be charged $5 – payable at the next rodeo with their Entry Fees.
- The FCA does not have an "or out" preference. When entering you must have a 2nd preference, please have a 2nd preference ready. You can draw out on entry day before 3pm with no fines. Please be aware that this entry system works like this: You are given a priority # when you enter-this # depends on how many of the weekends rodeos you enter, if there was only 1 rodeo everyone gets a # 2 priority. If there are 3 rodeos-those entering all 3 rodeos would get a # 2, those entering 2 of 3 rodeos would get a # 3, those entering only 1 rodeo would get a # 4. From there the computer gives all entries a priority # between 1 and 10,000, beginning with #2 priority, then #3, then #4. This computer generated priority # is the order in which the computer draw is done. If your computer priority # 123 you are "golden", if your # is 9345 you are not getting the day you want! The computer will try and give your 1st preference @ all the rodeos you entered, if it can't give you your 1st preferences it trys to give you your 2nd preferences @ all the rodeos you have entered. If it can't give you your 2nd preferences, you get what is left over. Very seldom, but sometimes, you may get 1st preference @ 1 rodeo and no preference @ the other(s). This only happens when a buddy group of 3 or 4 will not fit into a spot where there are only 1 or 2 openings.
-
Please remember slack times listed are "only if necessary", don’t count on slack to make your weekend work, it all depends on the number of entries, and the committee, not the FCA makes the decision to have slack (or not) and what events will be in slack. Also remember there is usually no riding events in slack, with some exceptions for the Boys Steer Riding and Junior Bulls.
- Permits are accepted unless otherwise stated in the listing for each rodeo. Full Card holders get priority over permits when the computer assigns priority and does the draw.
- Please always call the Turn-Out line for any turn outs, it is only an answering machine, don’t leave a message-no one will return your call. Don’t call the office regarding a Turn-Out, each rodeo secretary calls the turn-out line before each performance to determine who isn’t coming to their rodeo. If you are turning out of a dual-approved rodeo, you must contact the Mother Association, not the FCA. When you turn out on a medical, the medical must be faxed into the FCA as soon as possible. If your medical covers rodeos on more than one weekend, you must call the turn out line and medical out of all rodeos.
- The FCA has a Trade List for our member’s convenience in trading performances. TRADE DEADLINE IS MONDAY AT 3PM. On Position Callback day, if you want to be put on the trade list indicate that to the operator, it is your responsibility to be put on the Trade List, not the operator’s responsibility to ask you if you want to go on it. At any time during Callback day you can ask who is already on the trade list, and you will be provided with their phone # so you can contact them to arrange a possible trade. All trades have to be called into the office by both parties, a trade will not be completed unless we hear from both parties by the trade deadline. For the 2010 FCA season on Position Callback we will be giving you added information – What # your event will be in the rodeo and/or slack (ie: LBR will be the 8th event & CR will be the 9th event). By providing you with this information we hope it will help you get from rodeo to rodeo. Note***the FCA does not fax out lists of who is up what day for trading purposes.
- If you are calling for stock callback on an entry day, please indicate that to the operator immediately so they can assist you promptly.
- Please be respectful of the entry/callback phone operators
, they don’t do the draw, the computer does, getting mad at them doesn’t help. Any member who is disrespectful will be dealt with by the FCA Board of Directors …remember every call is recorded…don’t say something you will regret later!
- A "C" at the end of your card #, indicates that you can write a check at the rodeos for your entry fees
. If you do not have a "C" on your card #, you will have to pay cash for your entry fees. New members can ask to have a "C" added after having been a member for 6 rodeos. Call the office and make a request to have a "C" added to your card #.
- Attn: LRA members
– since your entry day is before the FCA, you should call back for the LRA rodeo before entering the FCA rodeo. You will be asked when you are up at the LRA rodeo, so if the FCA has approved them we can work with that information. If you can’t provide this information, the FCA will not be able to help you.
